Hooked on Colfax 3215 E. Colfax Denver, CO 80206 My Yelp Review
You know how every once in a while you find one of those perfect indie coffee shops?  The ones that aren’t really that unique but just do everything right?  This is one of those, I wish I lived closer because it would so be my local.First of all, the coffee is great, they make a proper drink and serve it in wonderful big cups with latte art on top (at least my barista) and it was delicious.  I love it when the foam is just right, you know, yeah, the kind of steamed milk you never get at Starbucks.  Also, while I had a mocha it wasn’t a shot of espresso + plus milk over a ton of super sweet yuppy syrup, it’s all about the coffee with just enough chocolate coming through to add complexity. Also, the atmosphere is great, the furniture is pretty comfortable and varied, it might be just a tiny bit too tight for the suburban coffee shop frequenter.  Wifi was fast and free too.Overall, really great place!

You know, I actually don’t think this photo looks too bad considering it was shot, post processed and uploaded entirely on my iPhone. The process involved taking the photo under decent light to avoid noise and then running it through Naked Touch, TiltShift and back to Naked Touch for the upload to Flickr. My only complaint about this process is that somewhere along the way my GPS metadata seems to have gotten lost.
