For Mr. Dan Ablan
I’ve been learning 3D from Dan Ablan since I first touched Lightwave seven years ago with Inside Lightwave 7. When I moved to Maya I missed his clear writing and extensive knowledge and when I added Modo to my pipeline I was excited to see that he was the training guy for that software package. Since that move I’ve had the opportunity to read, watch and listen to his books and videos as well as having the great pleasure of spending a week learning from him in a Modo class in San Francisco and it was worth every penny of the experience!
Dan teaches you more than the buttons, he shows effective workflows and breaks down concepts in a way that’s very intuitive to understand. Then he pushes you to jump in and learn from doing while adapting the workflows to what works best for you while keeping you on the rails with his experience in 3D and as an expert trainer.
I’m continuing to learn from his products and am very excited about his upcoming Photoshop book. I can’t wait until I have another opportunity to learn from Dan in person! Did I mention Dan is also a cool guy to hang out with? He’s a lot of fun and I suspect that cookies are always involved.
