Questioning the future of RSS, media distribution & discovery
Is RSS, for reading dying? Will it become just the backend for media distribution powering the apps we use, never exposed to the user?
Could Flipboard-like apps replace directed news and content aggregators like Hacker News, Facebook and Twitter become the sole curator of discovery?
If so, is this the final blow to traditional news sources like magazines and newspapers or the shift that makes them relevant again (albeit in a digital form)?
